Everton: 3 heroes who saved Everton from relegation
By Yusha Sharif
Richarlison scored 10 goals and registered another 5 assists this season for Everton
Richarlison
Star striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t had a great season, often finding himself injured or not being able to consistently perform up to the level expected of him and whenever he wasn’t available Richarlison was deployed upfront and its safe to say that he did justice to his role, he really showed his class this season, scoring and assisting when it mattered the most.
He has provided 10 goals and 5 assists in the 28 matches he has played this season. The Brazilian striker netted the memorable winner against Chelsea, apart from that he equalized against Crystal Palace after the Merseyside outfit conceded 2 goals at the Goodison Park, a game that the Royal Blues ended up winning 3-2 and securing safety.
In the run-in alone, he managed to find the back of the net 6 times and provided an assist as well. Without his goals, Lampard’s side would’ve definitely been relegated this season. There were rumors of Richarlison leaving Everton next season but it wouldn’t be a smart move for either party, as the Merseyside club needs prolific players like him and the former Watford man needs a club where he can get regular game-time and shine.
