Everton can’t thank Richarlison enough for his contribution during the season run-in. His 6 goals and 1 assist during the final 10 matches ensured that the Toffees secured safety after a hard-fought battle against relegation for the majority of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
Recently Kylian Mbappe extended his contract with PSG until 2025 after signing a bumper new deal worth around €435 million. This move meant that Mbappe will have a big say in how the club is run.
A number of media sources have reported on the broken relationship between the French attacker and Neymar Jr., which could possibly lead to the Brazilian being moved out from the Parc des Princes this summer. If such a situation were to arrive, PSG already have a target in mind to replace Neymar, his Brazilian compatriot, Richarlison.
According to Fichajes, the Parisian club have turned their attention back to Richarlison as an attacking option. The Brazilian forward has previously been linked with a move to the Parc des Princes.
Does Everton need to sell Richarlison?
Richarlison’s future at Goodison Park remains uncertain as there have been previous reports suggesting that the Brazilian is exploring his options this summer. An elite club from Europe, fighting for titles, could come in with an offer. If the Brazilian decides to depart to a club where he can fight for titles regularly, the Toffees will sell him, making a big profit.
Richarlison joined Everton from Watford in 2018 for £35 million, a fee which could increase to £50 million with add-ons. In 151 appearances for the Toffees, Richarlison has scored 52 goals and provided 14 assists.
The Brazilian has been linked to Bayern Munich, PSG, Tottenham and Real Madrid. The Toffees may have a hard time in keeping the 25 year old at Goodison Park this summer if offers start to arrive from the big clubs.
But, a club needs to know the right time to sell their asset and by cashing in on Richarlison this summer, especially after his performances on the field have skyrocketed and his demand at an all-time high with the likes of PSG and Tottenham Hotspur linked, Everton, will have all those funds available for Frank Lampard to rebuild this side according to his vision.
