The FIFA World Cup 2022 is roaring in its full voice as the mega tournament treats us to gripping games and exhilarating footballing action. With club football on a pause, Everton fans gather to support their four players on World Cup duty and hope that England can finally bring it home.

From Everton’s squad, Jordan Pickford, Conor Coady, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Amadou Onana are representing their respective national sides at the World Cup. England thrashed Iran 6-2 but failed to get their act together against USA and could only manage a 0-0 draw. Senegal have a chance to seal round of 16 qualification by beating Ecuador in the final group game.

For Belgium, it has been a rather clumsy and unimpressive tournament. They got a narrow 1-0 win over Canada but shockingly lost to Morocco, raising big questions over Belgium’s chances to go deep in the tournament.

Roberto Martinez’s side has lacked freshness and energy but there is one player who has shown dynamism in his play and caught the eye is Onana. Everton midfielder Onana has played 45 minutes and 61 minutes in two games respectively and has looked lively on the ball in the middle of the park.

Juventus eye Everton midfielder Amadou Onana

His performances have caught the eye of Juventus manager Max Allegri. According to Calcio Mercato Web, Onana is already in the sights of Juventus. Last summer, they signed Leandro Paredes from PSG but the Argentine has not lived up to the expectations in Turin. In fact, the Old Lady are ready to offload the 28 year old next summer and a new midfielder will be needed to rejuvenate the engine room.

Onana has been one of the few happy Belgium notes in rather a sad orchestra in Qatar. The Bianconeri admire the Everton midfielder and are ready to test the waters. As per the report, Onana has a valuation of €40 million (£34.6 million) and the Italians would like to bring down the valuation by offering a player in return to Everton.

Juventus are ready to offer money plus Weston McKennie in the deal to lure Everton into making a deal. McKennie is a name that has been admired in the Everton offices for a long time. Onana has been quintessential for Everton. He’s played 14 Premier League games and even though the Toffees have struggled, Onana has shown massive character and ability in his play.

Everton have no reason to sell Onana and the stance would remain the same unless Everton’s performances drop further and the player doesn’t believe in the Frank Lampard project anymore.
