Everton are working simultaneously on several deals and enquiring about attacking targets as transfer deadline day is here and they have less than 12 hours to get deals over the line. The Toffees have now been linked to Thorgan Hazard and Sheraldo Becker.

The Toffees need to bolster their attack as their poor attacking output has been one of the major reasons for their drop in relegation zone. Everton sit 19th and Sean Dyche has a humungous job on his hands as he aims to maneuver the Merseysiders out of the drop zone. He has inherited a disoriented squad with many weaknesses but doesn’t have the time to do major surgery and needs to paper the cracks as much as possible.

The attack remains an area of focus as the departure

of Anthony Gordon has further weakened the frontline and the Toffees will be looking to sign at least one striker and one wide man on the transfer deadline day.

Names like Viktor Gyokeres, Che Adams, Ryan Fraser and Lucas Moura have been common links but more recently the Merseysiders have been linked to two slightly uncommon targets plying their trade in Bundesliga.

According to Sky Sports Germany (via Football365), Everton want to lure Becker of Union Berlin to the Premier League. The Toffees are considering making an offer for the 27 year old who has 14 goal contributions in 26 games this season.

Becker can operate as a secondary striker or even as a lone centre forward. The Union Berlin man can also play on the flanks but his best displays have come while playing in the centre. He is valued at €15 million by Transfermarkt and it is unclear if Berlin are willing to sell the 27 year old.

Everton have also been linked to another Bundesliga man. Borussia Dortmund attacker Thorgan Hazard seems to be on Everton’s potential list of targets. The 29 year old has just started twice in Bundesliga and has largely been seen as an option off the bench. The Belgian has played 729 minutes of football and could leave the club as Everton and PSV remain in a transfer battle.

The 29 year old is valued at €9 million and the Toffees could get a deal done for a reasonable price as he is out of favour at Signal Iduna Park and has his deal expiring in 2024. Hazard is widely viewed as a replacement for Gordon who left for Newcastle United last week. The £45 million earned through his sale must be reinvested to give Dyche a competent squad that is fit for the survival challenge.
