Everton have wanted to sign a striker this summer and have looked at numerous names. Attempts have been made to sign the desired targets but so far EFC have failed to land a single striker in the summer. Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto is the latest name to be linked with a move to Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche had minimal striker options last season when Dominic Calvert-Lewin was injured and Neal Maupay wasn’t firing, the former Burnley man had to deploy Demarai Gray as a central striker. The Toffees cannot afford to have a repeat of last season and need a reliable goalscorer besides Calvert-Lewin.

The Englishman has struggled with injuries for the last two seasons and Everton cannot gamble on his fitness. A forward is needed to ease the goalscoring load and share the duties with Calvert-Lewin. A number of strikers have been linked but the Toffees have failed to get their desired targets.

El Bilal Toure is the latest setback as the Malian striker has joined Atalanta. EFC had been working on the deal for weeks but could not seal the move as Bilal Toure preferred a move to Italy. Now, the Toffees are also working on other striker options with talks ongoing for Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia. In fact, the Toffees have also made a bid for the Senegalese striker and are ready to offer a player in exchange for Dia.

Everton are also looking at Corinthians striker Alberto, as per journalist Dominik Schneider. Numerous clubs are chasing the Brazilian forward and talks are ongoing with Everton. There is nothing concrete so far but interest remains high in the 22 year old.

Alberto is ready for a move and is waiting for a perfect move. He has a deal with Corinthians till 2027 and the Brazilian club will not let go of the striker easily. His market value is €16 million but a high transfer fee is expected. Alberto has so far scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 37 games this season as he continues to lead the line for Corinthians.

The Merseysiders have had a decent record with Brazilian signings over the last few years as Richarlison was one of the top players at the club. Alberto is relatively unknown in the European circles but possesses promising qualities that Everton can make use of. There is no mention of the transfer fee yet but EFC cannot overspend as other areas also need attention.
