The Premier League announced the nominees for Player and Manager of the Month for August, and both lists feature a man from Everton's strong beginning to the season.

For Player of the Month, Jack Grealish was nominated alongside Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, Liverpool forward Hugo Ekitike, Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, Chelsea forward Joao Pedro, Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, and Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

Grealish's inclusion here is a testament to his strong start to the season, as he's made a massive impact on Everton's attack, freeing up players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye to roam in other spaces on the pitch and score goals.

The Manchester City loanee has taken advantage of the quality around him as well, racking up four assists already this season, as he looks to repeat earlier years in his career, where he was often in the upper teens for total goal contributions.

He doesn't have a flashy goal, like Guehi or Szobozlai do, to allow his resume to jump off the screen, but anyone who has watched him play so far this year knows that he is playing with the flair and panache of his Aston Villa days. This is good for both Everton and Grealish, as he looks to rebuild his value and earn a place in the England side for next summer's World Cup.

As for David Moyes, he was nominated alongside three other managers: Sunderland's Regis Le Bris, Chelsea's Enzo Maresca, and Liverpool's Arne Slot.

I know this is an Everton site, but to me, you have to throw Slot out here. Liverpool have done exactly what is expected of them, winning 9 points in three matches while scoring eight goals (although they have given up half as many).

The presence of Chelsea right behind them makes Maresca a good candidate here, but Sunderland and Everton both starting the season in the top 5, albeit only through three matches, should not be overlooked.

In addition, two Everton players were nominated for Goal of the Month. The first was James Garner's rocket against Brighton in the opener at Hill Dickinson, and the second was Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's screamer away to Wolves last weekend.

Fans can vote for both awards via the links above, with voting closing at noon BST on Monday, September 8. Winners will be announced the following Friday, on the eve of the season restart after the current international break.
