When Everton signed Jack Grealish, some fans believed the Manchester City loanee could take the team to the next level. Others grimaced at the thought of such an expensive loan deal for a person who had not delivered good results for Manchester City last season.

In just two Premier League starts, Grealish has already notched four assists for the Toffees, two of those coming against Wolves. Grealish was simply stunning on the left side. Wolves had to mark him with multiple players, and he still found a way to be productive.

Grealish had five successful dribbles in eight attempts, 32 accurate passes, and had two defensive interceptions to go along with his two assists.

Goal contributions aside, Jack Grealish is also a player who provides width, verticality, and creativity. Grealish is very similar to Iliman Ndiaye when it comes to taking on defenders, but he does so in a more direct way, while Ndiaye spends more time dribbling.

Having two of those players on the wings provides a lot of chance creation, but Grealish takes it to another level with his crisp passing. He rarely puts a foot wrong and loves to combine with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and others, which showed in Everton’s third goal against Wolves

Grealish has been a superb signing so far, not only due to his tangible results, but also the intangibles that he brings. He’s a winner, he’s won pretty much everything a footballer dreams of winning, and now he’s bringing that winning mentality to the Toffees, who are ushering in a new era full of hope.
