This weekend's 'blue cartel' matchup between Everton and Chelsea can be special for the Blues of Merseyside, as the Toffees' remarkable home record can be extended should they come away with at least a point.

Since Moyes took charge in January 2025, the Toffees have only hosted Chelsea just once, with a statement 3-0 victory before it all came crashing down post-international break in March; The less said the better about the end-of-season form.

Everton have lost one game in over nine years at home against the West London side, with Jorginho's penalty splitting the two sides on the opening day of the 22/23 campaign, in which Doucouré's worldie kept the Blues up that same season.

Although Everton can't boast about their record at Stamford Bridge specifically, with their last away win unbelievably coming in 1994, disregarding the FA Cup penalty triumph in 2011, the Toffees' home record is immaculate.

The record is as follows: WDWLWWWWD

Chelsea have managed to find the net just twice in 10 games when facing Everton on the road, with the only other goal coming from Mateo Kovačić, who tried to spark a comeback, but the nail was hammered in the coffin by Dominic Calvert-Lewin to seal a 3-1 victory.

Everton kick off the Premier League's action with a 12:30 kick-off time, their first time playing in the early afternoon at home since hosting Arsenal in the 24/25 season.

Fans will be hoping for a defensive boost ahead of the press conference, which takes place tomorrow afternoon, with Vitaliy Mykolenko still in contention following his injury on the international stage.

Merlin Rohl has missed the last four matches, but still makes plenty of appearances on the Everton socials amidst the opening of his cafe inside Finch Farm.

Jarrad Branthwaite could be one to miss out on the weekend. Despite playing 90 minutes against Hull, the Englishman underwent a lot of pain in the first half, so a rest could be imminent to ease his recurring injury issues.

Christopher Norgaard appeared on the bench for the Blues on Sunday, but Moyes already confirmed during his pre-match press conference that his inclusion in the matchday squad was simply to fill numbers, as the Dane is still aiming to reach full fitness following his arrival in summer.
