Next Everton transfer set to be confirmed (and he's coming to America)

Adam Aznou will join from Bayern Munich on a reasonable deal, as Everton add to their fullback depth.

In a deal that arose out of very few rumors, Adam Aznou is set to join Everton from Bayern Munich on a fee in the neighborhood of €9 million. Multiple reports also indicate that Bayern will receive a cut of any sale of the player in the future.

As we previously discussed, this is a fairly large get for Everton, as Aznou, who only just turned 19, is considered a player on the rise and someone with the ability to become a top player at the highest level. And while this is a bit of a luxury pickup for the club, with Vitalii Mykolenko in place as the team's starting left back, the Ukrainian is out of contract after this season, so having Aznou in place to begin to supplant the incumbent isn't a bad idea.

Doing so at a relatively low fee due to the player's age and lack of experience also makes a lot of sense. That will allow Aznou the time and space to grow into the level, and if he shows himself capable and beats out Mykolenko for minutes, then so be it.

Both The Bobble and Paddy Boyland of The Athletic are saying that once the final details of the contract are worked out that the Morocco international, who was born in Spain, will join the club in the United States for the remainder of the Premier League Summer Series tour.

This will be a good opportunity for the youngster to get to know his new teammates and possibly see some action on the pitch, although he may only get one match in, given that the next one is Wednesday in Chicago.

This may not be the biggest need for Everton for the 2025/26 season, but it is a move that looks into the future and could, depending on how quickly Aznou acclimates to the new league, have some impact on this year.

Either way, it's a big win for the club to secure the signature of a talent on the rise. The hope is that it isn't the last time they're able to do so this summer, as there are other young players the club is currently discussing moves for.

And now we simply wait for the official confirmation to dive deeper into the role that Aznou can play for the 2025/26 Everton team.
