Reported Everton target Emre Mor is apparently set to choose Inter Mian, rather than move to Merseyside and join Ronald Koeman’s team.

How relevant is it, to learn about Everton apparently missing out on a player fans didn’t even know they had an interest in? You be the judge, as we share the latest speculation surrounding Ronald Koeman’s attempts to add (even) more depth to their squad.

As per a report from the Echo‘s Joe Rimmer, Inter Milan have beaten the Blues to the signature of Emre Mor. The young winger is highly rated, but only played 12 league games last season for Borussia Dortmund, hence why he was available.

It should be noted the German side are not giving up on Mor entirely, after signing him just last summer on a five-year deal. As per another report from talkSPORT, Inter are taking him on loan for two years.

From the player’s point of view, he just wants regular first team football. Of his 12 league appearances last season, only five were starts.

So what have the Blues apparently missed out on? Mor is fast and skilled, while also having experience at the international level – certainly these are all attributes which would have helped Koeman’s team.

However, we still don’t actually know how much — if any — interest the Toffees had in the 20-year-old. Gazzetta Dello Sport claims Everton did want to sign him, but Rimmer notes Italian newspapers often take liberties in mentioning English clubs.

In any event, Everton already have a highly skilled winger on their radar, who actually does want to join them. Unfortunately, they might be on the verge of missing out on Gylfi Sigurdsson altogether and they only have themselves to blame.
