Everton have now set their sights on signing PSG full back Layvin Kurzawa.

The Thiago Silva transfer saga has kept Everton occupied for quite some time and the Toffees have progressed immensely in the last few days as the club board has contacted Silva and offered him a contract. With Everton now in a favourable position in Silva chase, the club board have also made efforts to chase another PSG defender, Layvin Kurzawa. Just like Thiago Silva, Kurzawa is also out of contract at the end of the season and prefers a move away from Parc des Princes.

According to Le10sport, Everton are attentive to Layvin Kurzawa’s situation at PSG. The 27 year old will be a free agent at the end of the season and is mulling over the next move in his career. It is also reported that Silva and Layvin Kurzawa have had conversations about their futures and both the PSG defenders could be headed to Goodison Park.

The Frenchman signed for PSG in 2015 from AS Monaco and enjoyed couple of fruitful seasons. However, his game time and appearances in the team have drastically reduced since last season. Kurzawa appeared in 21 games throughout the last season and has so far clocked 855 minutes of Ligue 1 football this term. The Ligue 1 gainst prefer Juan Bernat in the left back position. All these are signs that Les Parisiens are not a fan of Kurzawa and will not offer the 27 year old a new contract.

Kurzawa might not be the best in business but does a pretty commendable job. He is a left back by trade but can even play as a right back and deputise as a left midfielder. This type of versatility can come clutch for Carlo Ancelotti. The club board will keep a close eye on Layvin Kurzawa and how PSG handle his situation.

A number of clubs have already been linked to Kurzawa this season with Arsenal seriously considering of signing him. Barcelona and Chelsea were also in the papers. A move back to Stade Louis II was also rumoured but the PSG defender would fancy playing in a different country. The transfer talk of Kurzawa has been circulating for quite a few months but the link to Everton seems to be the strongest till now.
