Everton: 3 realistic midfield targets that Everton could buy
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Amer Gojak is another strongly linked player to Everton
3. Amer Gojak
A third midfielder recently linked with Everton is Amer Gojak, a Bosnia and Herzegovina international midfielder. Gojak, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb is regarded as an attacking playmaker, however.
According to Croatian Media outlet Net, reports that representatives from Everton were joined by scouts from Serie A teams Fiorentina and Atalanta to watch Dinamo against Hadjuk Split. Gojak does seem to have something of an edge as he picked up two yellow cards to earn an early exit from Dinamo’s 3-2.
The Bosnian is young and has a lot of potential. The Toffees have recently been linked to some high profile names but not much success has been achieved. So Marcel Brands may be opportunistic and smart to target players who have been under the radar and are blossoming into fine footballers.
Amer Gojak is also said to be wanting a move away from Croatia and wishes to try his luck in the big leagues of Europe. Premier League may be his ultimate destination and even though he may not be instantly a first team regular but a long term solution given that he is only 23. He may not be able to slot into a central midfield role but does a commendable job in attacking midfield. With the screams of ditching Gylfi Sigurdsson gaining momentum, Gojak could be a much needed Sigurdsson replacement.
