Joshua Zirkzee’s style of play

Ziekzee is a classic number nine, honing his skills watching Lewandowski. The Polish international is a beast in the air and so is Zirkzee who stands 6 feet 3 inches tall. When you have a striker with such physical traits, you anticipate that he belong to the box, sniffing around the goal area, ready to pounce on any crosses that could come his way.

He is still in the embryonic phase of his professional career but has shown immense signs of promise. The Dutchman has terrific predatory instincts, something that is sort of a pre-requisite for being a striker. Zirkzee even possesses impressive acceleration and knows how to fool the defenders with his movements, making it a headache for the opposition to tame him.

The 19 year old has enjoyed some prolific goalscoring periods throughout his career. He is smart, direct and doesn’t hesitate before pulling the trigger on the ball. Despite all the positive traits, Zirkzee has unknown quantities in him that would only be discovered as he develops further.
