Everton will be extremely busy this transfer market as they brace for numerous bids for their talismanic duo Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Richarlison’s future is more talked at the moment, especially after his interview on national duty.

The Brazilian was a pillar of the team during the relegation battle. He scored six goals in the last nine games of the season to emphatically help Everton ensure their safety in the Premier League.

The Brazilian ended the season with 11 goals and five assists, capping of a 15+ G/A season. He took the responsibility of being the primary goalscorer on his shoulders as Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a terrible campaign, plagued by injuries.

Richarlison has always had admirers from Europe’s elite clubs with Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea and many more always keeping an eye on the Brazilian. Real Madrid have also been linked and since Kylian Mbappe’s rejection, the rumours have almost doubled. Previously, it was suggested that Richarlison will not be on Real Madrid’s radar but the latest reports suggest otherwise.

Carlo Ancelotti has asked Florentino Perez to sign Everton forward Richarlison

According to Diario Sport (via Sport Witness), the recently crowned UEFA Champions League winners have emerged as contenders for Richarlison. Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti spoke highly of Richarlison during his time at Goodison Park. Now, the Italian boss has requested Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sign the Everton ace this summer.

The La Liga giants have also been linked with him last summer but the failure to offload Mariano and Luka Jovic meant that Los Blancos couldn’t launch an offer for the 25 year old. Last season Madrid were concentrated on signing Mbappe so none of the other deals mattered.

Ancelotti sees Richarlison as someone who instantly fits into the team and can be extremely productive in the current system. Real Madrid had enquired about Richarlison’s price tag and the Merseyside club valued the 25 year old at £85 million last summer.

However, the asking price has gone down and Everton now value Richarlison at around £68 million. However, Real Madrid have kept their options open and are also studying Benfica’s Darwin Nunez, AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig. Richarlison will have a number of offers on the table this summer.

No Everton fan would like to see the Brazilian leave but it would be understandable if he went to a club that can offer him a chance to play in Europe’s most elite competitions. At the moment, Everton are in no position to offer European football to the 25 year old so a departure for reasons based on professional growth would be understood by the supporters.
